A day at Nidi
We do not run on bells and bathroom passes. We run on rhythm, the steady beat of a day that breathes, stretches, and settles like a child curled into a nap.
Monday – Thursday
Charlotte Mason's golden rule: short lessons, varied subjects, living ideas. No task lasts more than twenty minutes: mathematics with concrete objects, a living book about honeybees, a poem by William Blake, a watercolor of the very tree we'll visit Friday.
Friday is different
Field study — woods, wetlands, a historical site, somewhere new to explore. Parents at our sides, sketching, naming, returning with muddy boots and full hearts.
Nidi is a Form 1 schoolhouse, ages 5 to 9, learning together in one circle. The younger absorb what they overhear; the older rise to what is expected.
